Pursuant to FDA Circular No. 2021-012 entitled, “Guidelines on the Use of the Food and Drug Administration eServices Portal System for License to Operate Applications of Food Traders and Food Distributors Including Wholesalers, Importers, and Exporters of Processed Food Products, Food Supplements, Bottled Water, and Iodized Salt” issued on 11 June 2021, the FDA wishes to inform all Iodized Salt Distributors and Traders nationwide to lodge their License to Operate (LTO) applications at the eServices Portal System which is accessible through this link: eservices.fda.gov.ph.

The scope of application is as follows:

All Iodized Salt Traders and Distributors with existing applications filed with the FDA shall be given a period of one (1) year from the date of issuance of this FDA Advisory to comply with FDA Circular No. 2021-021 relative to procedural guidelines in applying through the eServices Portal System.

After the transitory period, all initial applications shall be lodged through the eServices Portal System and all succeeding renewal and variation applications shall also be applied using the same platform.

Iodized Salt Trader and Distributor that also handles other FDA-regulated food products shall apply for LTO as Food Distributor or Food Trader.
