On September 5, 2023, the second day of the FDA Bagong Negosyante Program at National University Laguna witnessed a gathering of 87 micro, small, medium, and enterprise business owners hailing from various cities and municipalities within Laguna Province. This program, focused on Licensing, Registration, and Good Manufacturing Practices, aimed to equip entrepreneurs with essential knowledge and skills necessary for navigating the regulatory landscape of the food and drug industry.

The highlight of the day was the presence of esteemed guests, including FDA Director General Dr. Samuel A. Zacate. Dr. Zacate graced the occasion with an insightful speech, emphasizing the importance of compliance with FDA regulations for the safety of the consuming public. He commended the participants for their dedication to learning and growth in their respective businesses.

Certificates of completion were awarded to all the participants, recognizing their commitment to enhancing their enterprises’ regulatory compliance and ensuring the well-being of their customers. The certificates were handed out by FDA Director General Dr. Samuel A. Zacate himself, symbolizing the official recognition of their accomplishments.

The event also featured the distinguished presence of Laguna Vice Governor Atty. Karen C. Agapay, who expressed her support for the program and the local entrepreneurs striving to excel in their industries. Uichico, and Jerry Urriquia Jr. Chairman of the Association of Laguna Food Processors Incorporated (ALAFOP).
