The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) visited Victoria, Tarlac on 14th day of June 2023 for prospective property/ies of FDA Regional Office with mini laboratory and discussed the launching of the FDA Program: “Bigyang-Halaga, Bangon MSMEs (BBMSMEs)”. Director General Samuel A. Zacate, representatives from the Office of the Director General, FDA North Luzon Cluster, Common Services Laboratory-Alabang Testing and Quality Assurance Laboratory, Legal Services Support Center, and Policy and Planning Service participated in the site visit at Tarlac State University’s (TSU) Food Technology and Research Center in Lucinda Campus and Victoria Processing Plant. The FDA representatives discussed future partnerships on innovative food and non-food products and food testing with the Faculty and Staff of TSU and invited members of the Tarlac Henyo Entrepreneurs Marketing Cooperative.
During the site visit, Director General Dr. Samuel A. Zacate, Director Jocelyn E. Balderrama of the Common Services Laboratory, and Director Gomel C. Gabuna of the North Luzon Cluster met with the Tarlac Governor Susan A. Yap and Tarlac Second District Representative Christian Tell A. Yap and discussed potential lot and properties for the FDA Regional Office with mini laboratory in Region III. The FDA, TSU, and Tarlac Provincial Government also tackled the ongoing and planned programs and services of the FDA which can assist the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) of Tarlac Province.
The FDA in partnership with TSU will soon launch the FDA Program: “Bigyang-Halaga, Bangon MSMEs (BBMSMEs)” in Tarlac Province.
