Under the leadership of Director General Dr. Samuel A. Zacate, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) once again pledged its support for First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos’s LAB for ALL program. Director General Zacate expressed commendation for the dedicated efforts of healthcare workers and all those agencies involved in the noble cause. First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos took charge of the “Laboratoryo, Konsulta, at Gamot para sa Lahat” (LAB for ALL) Program at the Vigan Convention Center on January 23, 2024.

A total of one thousand five hundred (1,500) beneficiaries availed themselves of free medical consultations, eye checkups with complimentary prescription glasses, dental services, chest x-rays, ultrasounds, ECGs, and various laboratory tests, including blood chemistry, hematology, minor surgeries, and medicines.

The program brought together different national agencies, local government units, and private sectors with a common purpose of advocating for a Healthy Pilipinas, Bawat Buhay Mahalaga tungo sa Bagong Pilipinas (A Healthy Philippines, Every Life is Precious towards a New Philippines). Participating organizations included Public Attorney’s Office (PAO), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Health (DOH), and Philhealth.
