On February 6, 2024, the Food and Drug Administration, through the leadership of Director General Dr. Samuel A. Zacate, once more affirmed its support for First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos’s LAB for ALL initiative held at the La Union Convention Center, San Fernando City, La Union

Director General Zacate praised the dedicated work of healthcare professionals and collaborating agencies who continuously extend their help for the said program. La Union Governor Raphaelle “Rafy” Veronica Alviar Ortega-David also expressed its support and gratitude to First Lady Liza Araneta–Marcos for bringing LAB for ALL to La Union where many of her “kaPROBINSIYAhan” can avail the free medical services and other government services on the said program.

The program catered to a total of 4,202 beneficiaries, offering free medical consultations, eye examinations with 552 complimentary prescription glasses, 659 dental services, 130 legal consultations, and 6,446 laboratory tests, covering blood chemistry, hematology, minor surgeries, and medications.

The initiative brought together various national agencies, local government units, and private sectors to advocate for “A Healthy Philippines, Every Life is Precious towards a New Philippines.” Participating agencies included Public Attorney’s Office (PAO), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Health (DOH), and Philhealth.
