The Food and Drug Administration was notified on 11 July 2022 by Linkage Foods Venture Corporation of the initiated voluntary recall of Häagen-DazsTM Plain Vanilla Ice Cream, due to the potential ethylene oxide contamination implicating the following batch codes:

As a precaution, the voluntary recall was initiated after Linkage Foods Venture Corporation, the licensed Philippine distributor received a product recall notice from General Mills Singapore Pte Ltd, supplier of, Häagen-DazsTM products that is manufactured in France, after detection of trace amounts of ethylene oxide in two (2) batches of Häagen-Dazs Plain Vanilla ice-cream during import tests in Taiwan (https://www.generalmills.com/ptivacy-security/vanillarecall).

This recall applies only to the batch codes stated above, and no other batch codes, or any other Häagen-DazsTM products are affected by this recall. The same batches of products were also recalled in other countries such as France, Taiwan, and Hongkong, among others.
