The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Regional Field Office IV-A conducted a two-day Seminar on FDA Regulatory Processes for forty (40) Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) of Calamba City, Laguna on 11 April 2024 at the CLDD Training Center Mercado De Calamba.

Led by FDA Region IV-A Supervisor, Ma. Luisa De Sagun, the FDA Team discussed the Licensing Requirements and Processes, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and Republic Act No. 10611 or the Food Safety Act of 2013 as part of the technical assistance and training provided by the agency under the Bigyang-halaga, Bangon MSMEs (BBMSMEs) program. This collaboration by the FDA and the local government of Calamba City will enable MSMEs to comply with regulatory requirements and standards thereby ensuring the safety, quality and purity of processed food products they manufacture and distribute in the market.
