Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Director General Dr. Samuel Zacate paid a courtesy visit to Mayor Maila Ting-Que of Tuguegarao City on February 27, 2024.
During the meeting, Mayor Ting-Que and Dr. Zacate engaged in a productive discussion on the forthcoming signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the FDA and the local government unit of Tuguegarao for the Bigyan-Halaga, Bangon Micro, Medium and Small Enterprises (BBMSME) Program.
Dr. Zacate emphasized the FDA’s responsibility to ensure the safety, efficacy, purity, and quality of health products under the agency. He also expressed the FDA’s commitment to supporting the products of MSMEs in the city.
Attending the meeting were City Administrator Juanito Calubaquib, FDA Regional Supervisor Alegria Ong, FDA Licensing Officer Rose Agatha Pagalilauan, City Councilor Mark Angelo Dayag, Executive Assistant IV Atty. Renz Angelo Umambong, as well as various department and unit heads of the Local Government Unit (LGU).
